BOOKS etc
Reading is a dominant hobby for me; it takes a lot of my time, myself. A good book can be a great pleasure. For some years now I 've decided NOT to have a TVset in my home, thus I have more time to read. I actually realised how much was reading, when a librarian told my father so. However, there are so many many books that I have not read and never will read. This not the point anyway
Well, there are so many astonishing books, text that I consider as a mental achievement and I envy the talent, the ideas of the autor. Therefore I believe that the very many authors of junk books have no reason of publishing.
Why are they doing it?
Do they know that they write rubish?
My question goes especially for those not gifted ones, who nevertheless do believe and (for some reason) are promoted as a genuine story teller,as a prodigy.If they know, then why do they go on?
I understand there is a need, a reason for crap TV, for coorporate art, for being medium, for being low level. No problem.
Anyhow I still wonder, if these "mental leaders" are aware of this very low level of their work and themselves?
Some of the authors I love are: Ernesto Sabbato, Milan Kudera, John Dos Pasos, J.D. Salinger and J.R.R. Tolkien.
