On the following pages we will describe a one month and 9000 miles vacation in the Eastern and Southern USA from mid May to mid June 1999. British Airways had a very attractive offer for a return flight from Copenhagen to Miami. So we hired a car by Avis, drove up to Pittsburgh (PA) to visit our son Michael, who traveled along with us for a 12 days roundtrip to Texas and New Mexico. Afterwards we had a relaxed drive back to Florida via The Great Smoky Mountains.
