Marianne Thomson was the second eldest of the twelve children of Robert Thomson and Caroline Leddiard. She married Samuel Wallace Bickley on 23 April 1833 at Fremantle, Western Australia. They had one child Isa Izon Bickley, and later went to India with Wallace Bickley. She died in Calcutta on 16 June 1841.
