As part of your studies for chapters 3 and 4 of French 2 for Mme Zerneri, you are going to take an imaginary trip to Paris, France. You will use the websites below as well as the sources in the library to gather information and pictures. As you explore, decide which spots in Paris you will pretend you have actually visited. Then you will make a Power Point slide show about the "trip" you took. Most of you will be travelling with a friend.
For your report :
1. Mme Zerneri and Mr Merrifield will teach the class how to make Power Point slide shows. If you already know how to do this we will pair you up with a novice for this exercise so you can help them and us.
2. The final product will include 7 to 10 slides about the trip to Paris you have taken. There will be a title slide which includes the authors' names and a final slide which gives the credits for where you took the images. Each page will include image and text.
The text IN FRENCH will talk in general about how long you stayed in Paris and with whom you traveled. You may choose real hotels and restaurants and talk about where you stayed and where you ate.
For each famous site you "visit" you must include in FRENCH 1)what it is ,2)what you did there, 3)the closest metro stop, and in ENGLISH 4)some information about the site. You do not have to translate your research information about the sites into French. You must visit five sites minimum.
N.B. You have already returned from this trip. Please edit your grammar and spelling. Avoid repetition.
3. You will use the links on the Paris page to "visit" la ville lumière and do research on its attractions. Be sure to give any images you save a recognizable name, to save them to the disk not the hard drive, and to record the credits for the images you save.
4. The slide show show must fit on a disk. Pay attention to the size of your images and the amount of animation so that it does not become too large.
