12 days, departing 20th each month - US$1 350.00 per person
DAY 1:
Arrive at Harare International Airport. You will be met at the airport and transferred to Harare Coronation Lodges (5km from the city center). The day will be spent relaxing, and your guide, driver and cook will see to your every need. Overnight in the lodge.
DAY 2:
Breakfast. Transfer to Great Zimbabwe Ruins. Lunch at the ruins. Tour of the Hill Complex and Great Enclosure after lunch. Dinner and overnight in a lodge.
DAY 3:
Breakfast. Visit a real-life African Village outside of Masvingo for authentic first-hand experience. Lunch at the village. Participate in some domestic chores e.g. ploughing with oxen, firewood gathering in the bush or drawing water from a well etc. Return to The Great Zimbabwe late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in a lodge.
DAY 4:
Breakfast. Transfer to Bulawayo. Lunch in Bulawayo. Visit Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage. Dinner and then overnight in tents by the scenic Maleme Dam nestled between two hills.
DAY 5:
Breakfast. Full day tour of Matobo Hills. Morning - caves and Rhodes grave. Afternoon - in search of black rhino in the park on horseback.
DAY 6:
Breakfast. Transfer to Hwange National Park. At 16000 sq. km of unspoilt bush, this is one of the largest game parks in the region. It has the greatest diversity of game with elephants, buffalo, giraffe and other plains game in large numbers. Predators such as lion, leopard and hyena are also common. Arrive Hwange lunchtime. Late afternoon game drive - 3 hours in 4 x 4 vehicle. Return to camp for dinner and overnight in tents. Camp in secluded tented camp inside the park. Option of a foot safari.
DAY 7:
Early wake up call for tea / coffee, followed by a 3-hour game drive. Breakfast, rest and lunch at midday, then late afternoon 3-hour game drive, and return to camp. Dinner and then overnight in tents.
DAY 8:
As for DAY 7.
DAY 9:
Early wake up call for tea / coffee. Morning game drive. Breakfast and then transfer to Victoria Falls. Arrive in time for a picnic lunch. Afternoon tour of the Falls. In the evening witness a spectacular dance in an African Village. Dinner and then overnight in a lodge.
DAY 10:
Breakfast. Adrenalin day. Choose one from: white water rafting, canoeing or bunji jumping. Dinner and overnight in a lodge. (Time to relax those white knuckles ! )
DAY11:
Breakfast. Transfer back to Harare, arriving nightfall. Overnight in a lodge.
DAY12:
Breakfast. Afternoon FREE for shopping etc. Evening transfer to Harare International Airport.
