M/V San Francisco II (SJZN/26216)

Built at Wärtsilä Shipyard, Åbo, Finland as new construction, hull number 1172. She was launched in Mars 1, 1970 and delivered in August 1, 1970. She was sold in 1986 to Mediterranean Shipping Co, Geneva and renamed to Diego. She was registered on Compania Naviera Diego SA, Panama. In January 5, 1994 she was renamed to MSC Diego. She was equipped with two Wärtsiläbuilt Pielstickengine 16PC2-V and two 12PC2-V at totally 19.139 kW. and one reduction gear coupled to two KaMeVa propellers. She was at 16.080 tons d.w. and had a speed at 23 knots. In July 1, 1998 renamed to MSC Camille and sailing between Europe and South America´s westcoast. San Francisco´s first commander was Dag Hultén and chief engineer C. A. Bengtsson.
