San Blas Market is located at one corner of the Central Plaza

and is a great place to visit when you are hungry and thirsty.
You can purchase prepared local dishes plus,
fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh meat and fish,

 plus a wide variety of cold tropical fruit drinks.

   

This is one of the most friendly guys in Nayarit!

You will find him waiting for you right inside the market.

Purchases of fresh shrimp and fish can also be found

 just outside the market and next the the square.

Shop or just enjoy the sights while you stroll in the new plaza.

Personally, I liked the old one better,

 but I didn't have a vote in the voice of progress

Be sure to visit the Social Club.

It is located on the corner, across the square from the market.

It is the gathering place for all of the "gringos" who live in

and around the San Blas area.

The conversations are sometimes very interesting

and they have a great book exchange.

Stop in and meet Bernardo and Augustine.

They both speak English and are really great people!

The serve beer and mixed drinks.

At night you will find excellent food and weekend entertainment.
