MĂLĂIESTI is a little village located south of the town of Hateg. The medieval citadel here was built in the 13th century as part of the defence citadels in Hateg Land. Most of the exterior walls and towers now lie in ruins, except for the central tower, the donjon, which has been etirely preserved.
